A native Californian, growing up with the Beach Boys, rock n' roll, surfing & hot rods, Bud began his life as an Artist working at car shows air brushing hot rods on t-shirts & sweatshirts. Working his way through college as a drummer, Bud began to study music & art at the California Institute of Art in Laguna Beach & later at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Moving to the Texas/Oklahoma area where his parents originated, created another love affair, the American West. Travels through New Mexico & Colorado, visiting the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, now the Western Heritage Center in Oklahoma City, was a deciding factor for his life's direction.
Bud now resides in Gainesville, Texas with his wife of 43 years, Mary Ann on their small ranch artistically named, "Paintbrush Ranch". He creates his art in the "Bunkhouse Studio & Gallery" and when touring, utilizes a mobile studio once owned by Walt Gonske of Taos, New Mexico.
